The latest round of Ron Paul excitement reminds me of this blog’s long and rich relationship with the mad doctor. Herewith a holiday selection of oldies.
- Ron Paul: Very Gradual Emancipationist
- Slavery did too cause the Civil War.
- Ron Paul: Not a Third Party Candidate
- In Which I Further Antagonize Ron Paul’s Spambots
- Alice Paul, Ron Paul, Paul Lynde
- We talked about some old times.
- Ron Paul: Still Crazy
- Arloversary.
Enjoy.

Well, the comments section has been rather devoid of crazies since your return. I guess all good things must end.

“It is ridiculous to imply that Ron Paul is a bigot, racist, or unethical,”

“strongly implies that I am a racist”
Just pointing out that Paul and his defenders are trying the same trick as yer pal Niall Ferguson: (a) claim that any attack on their record that entails race is *really* a charge that they are, personally, a bigot, (b) say how dare you. “Imply” is the word to watch for.

yer pal Niall Ferguson
Is that comment in reference to a previous post on Ferguson? I am familiar with his work but not his racial politics. Duly noted that Ron Paul incorporated scholarship on definitive rhetorical boundaries between civil rights, civil liberties, libertarian economics, green libertarian advocacy, and the varieties of libertarianism as expected outcomes of the patriot pursuit of individual liberty.
