I was aimlessly websurfing just now, when I saw the name “Amity Shlaes”. My first thought was “Hey, wait, I haven’t looked at Edge of the American West yet today.” This must be a proud moment for your blog.

He’s grown into a handsome boy. But I confess I miss the fluffy puppy.

Eric never really was all that fluffy, b. But he is now quite handsome, I have to admit.

I thought Eric was a streamlined, scaled swimming machine.

What are you feeding that dog, eric? Wasn’t he tiny just, like, last week?
He does seem to still have some puppy fur, though.

Here he is, seven months ago.
Yeah, he’s got these funny, white fluffy streaks coming up his shoulders. I don’t think it’s puppy fur, though; I think it’s going to be permanent. We’ll see.

Ohhhh- I was just thinking this morning of taking our (somewhat) newly adopted working dog (about the same age as Harry) out for a hike in Cold Canyon. Then I started thinking that it would probably be too cold and the barn needed to be cleaned more than I needed to go hiking. Plus, the puppy was NOT good this morning (Hmmm, That’ll do? Have no idea what that means. Why do you keep shouting that name? Come? That must mean run even faster after the new goat.), so I figured a hike would not be sending the right message. She’s now zonked out under my office chair, looking very innocent and a little contrite.
Anyway, even if I didn’t actually make it out to Cold Canyon today, at least I got to see it this morning.

Sounds like cleaning out the barn was as much fun as a hike would’ve been, Baaaa.

He is a handsome boy. The dog, I mean. Seems it was just yesterday you posted pics of the new puppy. They grow up so fast.
