More on the library kickback case; US outsourced Afghan munitions supply to “a fledgling company led by a 22-year-old man whose vice president was a licensed masseur” (from NYT); California snowpack average but restrictions on water export mean “an estimated 25 million Californians” south of the Delta may be drier than they’d like (25m is about 2/3 of Californians, btw); governor says illegal immigration has nothing to do with state’s budget deficit (no, it wasn’t praeteritio; he was asked).
Lifestyle corner has correlation between midlife belly fat and old-age dementia.

They let the library pillagers have bail? What the hell was the point of Arnold’s preemptive execution program? Some Terminator.

Meanwhile, in the Delta, the rivers are flooding.

You mean comment in a back-and-forth fashion with Urbino? I certainly hope so.

Plus, how will he land that gig as a finger model if he doesn’t keep flaunting his digits? Ooh la la, those are handsome quarter-hands.

Obviously this is merely a disguised thread in a complex kidnapping plot in which it is necessary to prove that Eric is still alive. Or, at the very least, that his (severed?) fingers are still pink and lifelike.

I saw the picture before reading the post and momentarily thought that the lifestyle corner story graphic meant that vilifying plutocrats was back in style!
How sad I was when I discovered that no, we’re just continuing to vilify fat people.
