I heart wiki:
Aristotle described a concept similar to the bromance as early as 300 BCE, writing, “It is those who desire the good of their friends for the friends’ sake that are most truly friends, because each loves the other for what he is, and not for any incidental quality”.

Ugh, on several levels at once. That’s not even a good quote for the (lame) purpose.
Happy New Year, all. I utterly failed to keep the resolution I made in these pages a year ago. Therefore I’m making more boring resolutions this time around, on the order of flossing more regularly. Since events (my dear boy) diverge from resolutions anyway, I trust life will bring more than flossing, regardless.

Hmm, my dentist tells me they’ll continue indefinitely; does that mean morale will never improve? I hope there’s a flaw in my reasoning.

If the flossings don’t continue, you’ll need a morale surgeon.

May your troubles last no longer than your New Year’s resolutions.

It’s a good thing Vance never saw my facebook thing concerning dudish historian Brosephus, author of The Wars of the Dudes.
