The indictment of Mayor Sheila Dixon knocked the Zantziger story off the front page of The Sun a periodical that used to be a newspaper. Here’s the local story. The money quote: “[Dylan]‘s just a scum bag of the earth. I should have sued him and put him in jail. [The song is] a total lie.” Two local geographical notes: Charles County, south of the District of Columbia, is where Booth ran for shelter a hundred years before. Washington County is in that little neck of western Maryland in between Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Both were a full day’s trip from Baltimore in 1963.

I see Christopher Ricks is sure it’s “diamond ring finger”, without the D. (I hadn’t read him in this mode before.)

Thanks for pointing that out, drip. The Sun‘s obituary is here.

MK, I tried to link to the story. The link is there at “Here’s the local story”, but doesn’t show up in blue. Is that a glitch or did I screw up the HTML?

I dunno. Looks like Sheila Dixon’s troubles are not limited to being indicted.

I’m really surprised the guy wasn’t a personal aid to Chaney.
