I re-read Another Country this weekend — what a great book, by the way — and then decided to see if Baldwin was alive and well and living in YouTube.

That’s truly astounding. He comes onscreen and looks like a crazy man, what with his lack of eye contact and his weird hand gestures, and then he proceeds to speak with rare and searching understanding.
Reminds me of, well,his writings.
